Wedding, function & tribute band work
I'm currently looking for a professional wedding, function or tribute band.
I play in a trio across Manchester who gig (on average) 1-2 times a month, normally on a Friday or week night. We could play more but it's not possible with the other members commitments. I therefore currently have a lot of spare capacity to take on more work and am looking for the right band to join. Ideally this would be one who have forthcoming bookings and just need a replacement guitarist or bass (or mandolin) player. I would consider a start-up project under the right circumstances but would (obviously) rather join an existing concern who have bookings in the diary. As well as the instruments listed I also provide good quality backing vocals (see videos below).
I learn songs quickly and (without dipping into the corporate horsespeak dictionary) I really am a team player. Whether playing in a pub band or a wedding outfit it's all about the clients and what they want and need - it's not about me. I don't have much (if any ego) and like to think I listen to the other musicians. I've played with enough guitarists to know how awful it is when one of them isn't listening to what everyone else is doing.
I have full analog and digital rigs with backups of everything. My gear comprises:
Electric (and acoustic) guitars to suit all styles.
Digital modellers and traditional amp rigs.
All mics and cables.
Full PA with mixer and stands (800W RMS).
iPad with instant library of all songs in all keys.
Transport .
Please have a look at the below videos for examples of my playing or go to the 'my playing' section of my website for more videos. I play the mandolin on 'Losing my religion' and 'wagon wheel' below:
